European EMS production 2025: growth with a single driver

European EMS production rose to €56.859 billion in 2025 (+4.7%). Almost all of this growth came from the hyperscaler business of a single Foxconn company in Hungary.

in4ma Market Research releases its final figures for European EMS production in 2025. Excluding hyperscaler business, Eastern Europe grew by 5.9% instead of 14.3%, while Western Europe declined by 4.2%. 54.6% of the companies in the year-on-year comparison reported lower revenue.

Production is becoming more concentrated: the four groups with more than €1 billion in European production revenue – Foxconn, Flex, Zollner and Jabil – increased their share from 34.1% to 41.9%. At the same time, 1,374 of Europe's 1,912 EMS companies generate less than €20 million in revenue. Since 2020, 223 legal entities have left the market.

In 2026, the recovery is held back not by demand but by the availability of memory chips and PCBs.

The full report, including the new EMS&ODM Europe 100 ranking, will be available in about two weeks.
